Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Nam Cat Tien National Park

Departure from Ho Chi Minh City at 8 AM, heading north along Highway 1 and then branching off onto National Highway 20. Crossing the Dong Nai River marks our entry into Cat Tien National Park, where our wildlife experience begins. After approximately 3.5 hours of driving, we reach Nam Cat Tien National Park. Nam Cat Tien National Park is a protected area located in southern Vietnam, spanning across the provinces of Dong Nai, Lam Dong, and Binh Phuoc.

Nam Cat Tien National Park is surrounded by several rivers, contributing to its unique ecosystem and biodiversity. The Dong Nai River is one of the major rivers that borders the park, running through its vicinity and enhancing its natural landscape. These rivers not only provide water resources but also support various aquatic and terrestrial species within the park's diverse habitats. Upon arrival, we will be greeted by a local guide, check-in, and eat lunch.

In the afternoon, we embark on an 8km ecological walk, visiting sites such as Lagerstroemia Ovalfolia (Bang Lang), Tetrameles nudiflora (Tung), Cycas rumphii (Thien Tue), Ancistrolandus Tectorius (Trung Quan), and Afzelia cyclocarpa (Go). Later, we return to the park center for dinner. Around 8:00 PM, our Jeep will transport us to the Ta Lai buffer zone for nighttime animal observation, where we will see deer, hedgehogs, rabbits, ferrets … looking for food during the night. Depending on the season and weather of the year, plus a little luck, we can meet the gaur herd. The night is spent in the park's guest house. (Lunch and dinner are included)

Day 2: Nam Cat Tien National Park - Ho Chi Minh City

We will start with a leisurely bicycling ride inside the park to reach the junction, from where we will trek 5km to the Crocodile Lake station. During the trek we can encounter various species of primates. Some of the primates found in the park include gibbons, langurs, and macaques. These primates are part of the diverse wildlife that inhabits the park's forests and contribute to its ecological richness.

After a short break at the lake watching tower, we will trek back to the main road. Continuing on, we will hike to Ben Cu, the Ironwood Tree, Loc Giao Banyan Tree, Lagerstroemia Ovalfolia, and the Hundred-trunk Ficus Tree. Afterwards, we will be transferred back to the center of the park. We will check out of our rooms and have lunch in the park before departing. Finally, we will take a ferry across the river and head back to Ho Chi Minh City on our awaiting bus, arriving around 6 pm. (Breakfast and lunch are included)

Our itinerary includes easy walks, hiks, kayaks and bicycle rides. They include:
