1 day Mekong Delta Excursion
Departing from Ho Chi Minh City between 7:15 am and 7:30 am, we'll head southward to Cai Be. The Mekong River is one of the major rivers of Southeast Asia. It flows through several countries, including China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
Upon reaching Cai Be, we'll board a boat to explore the intricate waterways of the Mekong Delta. Cai Be is situated on the Mekong River’s lower branches, with numerous canals and tributaries. As we navigate, we'll pass by mango groves and lush fruit orchards, immersing ourselves in the natural beauty of the region. Renowned as the 'rice bowl' of Vietnam, the fertile delta is a hub for extensive rice cultivation, tropical fruits like rambutan, longan, and mangosteen, and flowers that supply the entire country.
As we journey along the canal, we'll be treated to breathtaking scenic views. Along the way, we'll make occasional stops to sample the succulent crops of the delta, engage with the local people, and observe the various industries thriving along the riverbanks.
Additionally, we'll enjoy a leisurely bicycle ride along the banks of the Mekong River. Here, coconut palms, rice fields, orchards, and charming stilted houses adorn the riverbanks, while the waterway is busy with boats of all shapes and sizes. Afterward, we will board our vehicle for a return journey to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving around 6 pm. (Lunch is included)
